About The Artist A transplanted Floridian who had always liked art in water colors Heidi Gary came to the Great Smokey Mountain area of Tennessee in 1993. She immediately fell in love with the natural, scenic beauty of the region. Inspired and interested in capturing this lovely area on canvas Heidi studied art at the University of Tennessee and found that she had a talent for working with the medium she had always loved. She began to create works in watercolor with the subject being the very landscapes and splendor she found right outside her own home. Her first paintings have gained local acclaim, and interest, and are now prominently featured in the renowned Arts & Crafts community at the Buckhorn Inn in Gatlinburg Tennessee for the enjoyment of their guests.
